What a crazy week! Thank you for sharing your experiences. I love the beautiful blues and the symmetry of your photograph collage and the pictures with Bev and Kev.
That's so lovely, Mary Lee. Alas, the career hasn't taken off so far. I can still get four rejections in four days. Ooof! Just taking a moment to wallow in overwhelm... But I'll be back.🙃
Congratulations on all the productive, fun, enriching busyness! It's a delight to read about how you're sharing your love of words with so many different audiences and still finding time to take those all important detours!
Kat, what a joy-filled post. You are busy. I love the photo of you standing next to Bev--especially the one with the sweet smile on your face. The poetry drafts are perfect, and inspiring. I like the idea of writing from what you are experiencing. The terse verse made me laugh! Good advice. And "On Tour" is a different and interesting form--lovely message. "breathe" and enjoy all the detours, forced or chosen. Peace!
I'm not good with journalling, Denise - but the closest I ever come is with poetry captures. Often pic-poems. The lai is a fun form - though initially I had to get into that almost syncopated rhythm.

Aren't they stunning blues!💙
The rhymes in "On Tour" are delicious! It is so fun to watch your writing career take off!

Alas, I managed to hit 4 roadblocks this week. Four rejections in four days. Urgh!🥲 (Hoping I can turn them into detours.)
What fun you have and take with you from place to place. Love your alluring lai poem. Those rhymes are awesome!
Thanks, Margaret. Chuffed to hear that. :)
Sounds like such a fun week. And now I need to go look up “corella”. Love the poems too. The terse verse made me laugh.
Did you discover the bird? Somewhat raucous, especially in flocks. I just loved their insertion of 'distressed' - to add character to the noise.
Yes I did! I would have looked up a video with sound, but hubby was sleeping next to me.

A Bev poem! ❤️ How gorgeous. xxx
