Thank-you to the lovely people who have found and followed me on Substack. Alas, I am finding a second web-presence is messing with my head, and I’m not prepared to turn my back on the years of material for educators, authors and readers (young and old) that I have collated on my Wordpress site. And spreading material between two sites just doesn’t seem to be viable.
So, for now, I’m suspending posts on my Substack. If you haven’t already found me at katswhiskers.wordpress.com, I’d love to see you there. I’ll still be posting about poetry, picture books and verse novels - and a slice of country life. ‘Cause they’re the Kat’s whiskers!
(Meanwhile, if anyone has tips for how I could make this Substack work, I for sure am keen to hear them!)
I absolutely understand. Good for you that you tried it. Good for you that you are staying true to your roots and doing what makes the most sense for YOU.
It's a tough dilema. I wonder if you could use your WordPress site as the archive, and Substack as the discovery and email list platform? I've loved the growth I've seen here for my own list and I'm sure you could find people here who would LOVE the work you do.
